You’re ready to take your kiddo off-road and want a kids’ bike that’s up to the task. You want the added grip of big, knobby tyres, plenty of gears to keep them spinning up hills and the reliable stopping power of hydraulic disc brakes.
The tech you get
An Alpha Silver Aluminium frame with 20” wheels and wide 2.4” knobby tyres that bite into dirt and give plenty of traction. Tons of gears to pick from with a 9-speed 1x microSHIFT drivetrain and serious stopping power from hydraulic disc brakes.
The final word
Wahoo 20 Trail is a proper off-road ride in a pint-sized package. It’s a kids’ bike for little rippers who can’t wait to cut loose and want a bike that’s light, manoeuvrable and ruddy tough, too. Its hydraulic disc brakes give your kiddo a serious advantage while they progress on the trail.
The Walkthrough
Why you'll love it
Wahoo’s aluminium frame is light enough for easy handling and tough enough to roll through the rough stuff
Hydraulic disc brakes give them the same serious stopping power you’ll find on adult mountain bikes
A 9-speed drivetrain gives your kiddo plenty of gears to shift through, but isn’t too much to handle
Wide and knobby 2.4” tyres provide heaps of traction for confidence on the trail
Trek kids’ bikes are designed and assembled by people who know bikes – and backed by a lifetime warranty

During the global pandemic, kids’ bikes sky-rocketed to must-have status for millions of families. What we do now to keep our kids rolling will determine the health of our future and theirs.
A durable carbon fork cuts weight for easy manoeuvrability, absorbs bumps in the trail for happier rides on rough terrain and comes with a legit front mudguard that screams, 'real mountain bike'.
Dropper post compatibility
The Wahoo Trail can accommodate an internally-routed 31.6 mm dropper post for little rippers who want to get their saddle out of the way for extra rowdy descents.
Kid-friendly trigger shifters
Thumb-activated shifters make it easy to find the right gear and set young riders up for success with a kid-friendly version of the shifters you find on adult bikes.
Comfortable, confident geometry
An upright hybrid-style geometry mimics the feel of an adult bike and keeps kids confident and comfortable on the days when they want to ride until dinner time.
Upgrade your pedals and love your bike more
Pedals are two of the five touchpoints that connect you with your bike, and even though this bike comes with a pair, upgrading to pedals that boost control and grip will greatly improve your ride. See the pedal guide and find the best pedals for your riding style. We recommend flat pedals for simple versatility.
This bike has a maximum total weight limit (combined weight of bicycle, rider, and cargo) of 36 kg (80 lb).

How tall are you?
To measure your height, stand up straight, barefoot, with your back, heels, shoulders and head all touching a wall. While looking straight ahead, place a book or straight edge on your head and slowly push it against the wall. Your straight edge should be parallel with the floor. Mark the spot where the bottom of the book is touching the wall. The distance from the marked spot to the floor is your height.
