Learn moreWe make saddles for all riders, and the most comfortable saddle is the one that best suits your anatomy. Riders who are assigned male tend to have narrower pelvis bones and are best suited for 145 mm saddle widths, while riders assigned female typically find the most comfort from 155 mm width saddles.
Aeolus RSL utilizes the latest biomechanical research and a full cutout design to eliminate soft tissue pressure and maximize power and comfort for riders in an aero position.
The split design of the full saddle cut-out extends from the nose through to the rear of the saddle to minimise soft tissue pressure and allow for a more powerful, rotated position.
Aeolus has a wider nose with a shorter overall length that ensures that the whole saddle is usable and comfortable, whether you’re sitting up on the hoods or hammering in the drops.
Aeolus is designed and tested to work well for a wide range of riders of any body type and gender, and is available in multiple sizes to provide the best individual fit.
Aeolus is optimised for the best fit and performance, so it’s slightly shorter than a traditional saddle. When swapping out your old saddle, we suggest starting with an extra 10 mm of setback from the nose and a 2-degree downward tilt.
If for any reason you’re not satisfied with a Bontrager or Trek aftermarket purchase, return the item, along with the original sales receipt to the original place of purchase within 30 days for an exchange or refund. Think of it as a 30-day test ride.

See the guideWARNING: Extended riding with a poorly adjusted saddle, or one that does not properly support your pelvic area, can cause injury to your nerves and blood vessels. If your saddle causes pain or numbness, re-adjust the saddle position. If, after adjustment, your saddle still causes pain or numbness, consult your Trek dealer about further positioning or replacing the saddle with one that better fits you.
Learn moreWARNING: Only use a Bontrager seatpost that has 7x10 rail clamps or has two seat clamp bolts. Non-approved rail clamps can cause the saddle rails to break, which could cause a loss of control resulting in serious injury or death.
