Warrantied for life
Each Trek carries a simple promise. We'll take care of you and do what's right.
You're building a custom all-mountain bike for getting a little wild and blasting sketchy lines. You love leaving the ground and you're looking for a ride you can whip around on the rowdiest trails.
The tech you get
An Alpha Platinum Aluminium frame with 150 mm of rear travel and a RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ shock, plus a Straight Shot down tube and Knock Block headset with a Bontrager Line 35 mm stem. Mino Link adjustable geometry and Control Freak cable routing for a dialled build. Made for 27.5" wheels.
The final word
A stout trail frame that's fun to ride on the roughest trails, and most at home on the biggest all-mountain rides. A piggyback shock that can keep up with the longest descents and dialled frame details give you a head start on your custom build.
The Walkthrough
Why you'll love it
You get a solid base for building a bike that can keep up on your wildest adventures
Mino Link lets you make small adjustments to your geometry quickly and easily, even mid-ride
Wider is more stable: Remedy has clearance for up to 27.5x2.8˝ tyres
Control Freak cable routing lets you run any set-up, like a right-front brake, internally-routed dropper, or electronic shifting
"I was blown away"
"I was blown away at how stiff the new Remedy is. Just right for aggressive trail riding. The sum of the parts adds up to a greatly refined bike, but perhaps the biggest story is the increased value."
"There might be similar bikes out there, but Trek’s suspension is worth paying for. This bike smooths junk out better than anything I’ve ridden before."
Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to tune how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently. That means you get more confident control when you need it most.
Trek's Straight Shot frame design optimises the stiffness-to-weight ratio for a more responsive ride. You'll be able to push harder and stay more planted on your line when the going gets rough.
Smaller frames (S) have a top tube that dips down as it approaches the seat tube. This design makes for a lower standover height, which is good for shorter riders because it allows them to straddle their bike more easily. The larger frames (M and ML) have a straight top tube because taller riders with longer legs typically don’t have the same issues with standover height.
OCLV Mountain Carbon
Trek's mountain-specific carbon fibre is tougher carbon, with unique materials and lay-up procedures, Trek's advanced engineering, and a higher standard of testing.
Our premium lightweight aluminium is continuously cold extruded and butted at multiple points, and hydroformed into sophisticated tube shapes for maximum strength and minimum weight.
Control Freak cable management
The lightest, quietest, most versatile cable management system allows any combination of shift, brake, lockout and dropper post lines to be routed through the frame for clean looks and the ultimate custom set-up.
Mino Link adjustable geometry
Fine tune head tube angle by 1/2° and BB height by up to 10mm with the simple turn of a nut. Just flip the link to choose between slack or slacker geometry, without negatively affecting suspension performance. A Trek exclusive.
Wider dropouts (110mm front, 148mm rear) give you the stiffness of a 27.5" wheel with all the benefits of a 29" wheel, and Boost148 at the back lets you run wider tyres and a larger chain ring without affecting q-factor and pedalling efficiency.
Knock Block
Knock Block has your frame's back when things go wrong. It prevents your handlebars from spinning all the way around in a crash, so your hoses won't get yanked and your controls won't hit the top tube.
This bike has a maximum total weight limit (combined weight of bicycle, rider and cargo) of 136 kg (300 lb).

Bike and frame weights are based on pre-production painted frames at time of publication. Weights may vary in final production.
How tall are you?
To measure your height, stand up straight, barefoot, with your back, heels, shoulders and head all touching a wall. While looking straight ahead, place a book or straight edge on your head and slowly push it against the wall. Your straight edge should be parallel with the floor. Mark the spot where the bottom of the book is touching the wall. The distance from the marked spot to the floor is your height.
What is your inside leg?
How to measure: Stand barefoot with your back straight and against a wall. Tuck a ruler or something that extends to the floor between your legs. Using both hands, and keeping it level, pull the ruler up into your crotch as if you were sitting on the saddle. Measure the distance from the top edge of the ruler to the ground to find your inside leg measurement. Your inside leg is very important to your final bike size so please measure carefully.
