Model Comparison Questions
FX+ 2 is also a lightweight commuter e-bike model that utilizes our Hyena Hub-drive system. While both are light weight, the FX+ 7 has a larger battery (360Wh vs 250Wh), more torque (50Nm vs 40Nm), and more integration of lights, fenders, and a Quad Lock charging mount. If you are looking for a lightweight ebike without the additional range, integration, and power of FX+ 7 – FX+ 2 might work for you.
These models utilize a Bosch mid-drive system instead of the TQ system on the FX+ 7. Typically, the Allant+ models will have higher battery capacity and torque specs than the FX+ 7 but the tradeoff will be weight. Allant+ models are usually 10-12lbs heavier than the FX+ 7. If light weight is a priority for your commute FX+ 7 is ideal. If you need more range without an extender or more power, you might want to explore the Allant+ family.
