MTB helmets
These helmets are designed for the conditions you’ll encounter riding off-road. They have more back-of-head coverage than road-style helmets, and most come with adjustable visors that help keep sun and low-hanging branches out of your eyes.
Mountain bike gloves
The right gloves can make or break your ride, so treat yourself to a fresh pair to keep your hands happy. Some feature protective elements on the back of hand while others are built with lightweight materials for maximum breathability. Pick the pair that’s right for you!
Mountain bike eyewear
MTB eyewear helps keep bugs and wayward branches out of your eyes. And if you’re ripping fast, your eyes won’t water from the wind. Sunglasses are typically too dark for the dappled light in the woods, so most MTB eyewear has clear or lightly tinted lenses.
MTB hydration packs
If you plan to hit the trail for hours at a time, consider getting a hydration pack to ensure you can carry enough water. They’re also a great option if your MTB only has mounts for one water bottle.
MTB hip packs
Another great piece of gear for longer rides. You can easily stow snacks, a spare tube, tools, and more while keeping your center of gravity low and eliminating the need for a cumbersome seatpack that can interfere with your dropper post.
