Want to get a fair price on your old bike but don’t want to deal with the hassle of listing it online? We’ve partnered with Bicycle Blue Book, an online service that determines market value for used bikes, to help you get money for your old bike in the fastest, most convenient way possible. When you stop into one of our participating retailers and take advantage of our bike trade-in program, you’ll immediately receive in-store credit toward the purchase of a new ride.
The bike trade-in process:
Step 1 Estimate your bike’s value
Use Bicycle Blue Book's valuation tool to estimate the value of your bike and decide whether or not you want to make the trade.
If you’re trading in a Trek bike that’s 10 years old or newer and worth more than $150, we’ll refurbish and sell it through Red Barn Refresh, Trek’s certified pre-owned bike program. If your bike is not Trek branded and is worth more than $400, it will be sent to Bicycle Blue Book. All other bikes will be donated to a local charity.
Red Barn Refresh
Red Barn Refresh is our pre-owned bike program where we sell used Trek bikes expertly revitalized by the same people who made them. When you buy Red Barn Refresh, you’re getting a bike that meets exacting standards, certified by a professional Trek mechanic. You’re also helping to extend the life of bikes with more miles left in ‘em, which helps protect the planet where we live and ride.
Additional program qualifications Making a trade-in offer is in the store manager’s sole discretion and is contingent on the customer purchasing one new bike. In-store credit is only redeemable at the trade-in location and must be used immediately for a new bike purchase. The determination of the final in-store credit will be determined through the Bicycle Blue Book tool. In-store credit may not be applied to any taxes or other fees. Refunds or exchanges of the new bike purchase shall be subject to the above terms.
