Shimano road crankset recall

Shimano has issued a voluntary recall of some bonded 11-speed HOLLOWTECH II road cranksets produced before July 2019 for a possible bonding separation issue. If you have a bike that might be affected by this recall, bring it in to a participating Trek retailer for inspection. Any cranks that fail inspection will be replaced for free by Shimano.

Affected cranksets include:

• ULTEGRA FC-6800
• ULTEGRA FC-R8000
• DURA-ACE FC-9000
• DURA-ACE FC-R9100
• DURA-ACE FC-R9100-P

Free multi-point inspections

We’ll inspect affected bikes of any brand for free, and if you need a new crankset, we’ll order it from Shimano and install it at no cost to you.
